New Candidate - 2023 A resident of Mid-Cambridge for the past 26 years, I am a committed community leader, having actively served both the Mid-Cambridge Neighborhood Association (past president) and Cambridge Streets for All (past chairman). My volunteer experience includes serving the Charles River Conservancy as board chair and finance committee chair. From my community work, I appreciate the value of authentic community input, the ability to listen and collaborate with residents and businesses. I will bring this perspective to the City Council. My strong municipal finance background at Standard and Poor’s Corporation will ensure fiscal transparency and accountability for a nearly $1B budget. And, my strategic and business planning experience will provide a framework for developing policy that includes data and analysis, not ideology. I have had experience in large complex organizations which has honed an ability to see the 'big picture' and allows me to see through a different lens how policies and programs can impact residents, neighborhoods and businesses. As an at-large elected official, it will be my job to represent all Cambridge voters, not just select groups and to be open-minded to new information, ideas, and others’ perspectives to ensure policy is reflective of the entire community.
