From 2021:

Frantz Pierre is the first Black Haitian American Male to run for Cambridge City Council. His compassion towards people has fueled his desire to actively serve his community, therefore birthing The People’s Campaign.

From playing on the streets of Cambridge as a child, to working with the Elderly and underprivileged youth in the community, Frantz has witnessed the lack of cultural representation, support, and trust. He understands the need for diverse resources, and the importance of following through with commitments.

Frantz expects to diminish the educational deficits within our community, by creating an equal opportunity for all children to participate, learn, and be creative within the Cambridge school system. As a father of three, Frantz recognizes the need for a safe and healthy learning environment, where children are encouraged to contribute and excel.

Frantz knows that a thriving educational system will set the tone toward improving economic development. He believes that the people of Cambridge deserve affordable housing, access to quality healthcare, availability to earn academic achievements, and reduced unemployment rates. By focusing on improving the Educational System and Economic Development, Frantz hopes to create a better future, for the people of Cambridge.

Frantz’s parents were born and raised in Haiti. They found themselves traveling a long and strenuous path that ultimately landed them in the United States. Frantz is the youngest of 13 children, 8 boys and 5 girls. He recalls his parents raising them the “old fashioned way”. The culture of his home was based off of respect, morals, honor, and love. Being raised in a family of fifteen, the Pierre’s understand the need for structure, resources, affordable housing, and education. Frantz’s compassion and drive is attributed to his parents. Their ability to be resourceful with limited assets, contributed to thirteen children becoming successful, educated, hard-working adults.

As a teen, Frantz started working at the Area 4 Youth Center. By the age of 13, he was carrying the title of “Junior Counselor.” Frantz learned to create healthy and positive environments for youth to learn and think freely. Through the years, Frantz worked at all 5 youth centers in the city of Cambridge, which allowed him to observe the support systems around the city. He worked as an Intensive Care Coordinator, Recovery Specialist, Housing Specialist Coach, Street Worker, DYS, and a Lead Teacher at the Maragret Fuller House. Frantz is currently employed at Boston Medical Center as a Care Coordinator for the elderly population.

Having worked multiple jobs from the age of 13, Frantz has gained a plethora of irreplaceable experience. Frantz graduated from Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School, where he recalls fond memories of playing point guard on the basketball team. Even as a high school student, Frantz found ways to give back, by teaching meditation skills to the city youth within Cambridge’s elementary schools. Frantz continued his education by studying for an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and Human Services. Frantz continued to contribute to the community as a young adult, by volunteering at various youth centers throughout Massachusetts.

From an empathetic 13 year old boy, to a selfless considerate man, Frantz continues to put people first. Frantz plans to lead The People’s Campaign, with compassion and grace, in hopes to create a better future for the people of Cambridge.
